At the Ballpark

          Baseball is my life. The sweet smell of  the leather glove, on my sweaty hand as I wait patiently for a Cardinal player to throw up a ball to the stands during batting practice. The taste of relish and honey mustard on a foot long hot dog from the consession stand. Hearing the ushers voices yelling "Beer, cotton candy, popcorn!" Then seeing the look on the fans faces as they gaze over at the prices!  Watching the players hustle out to their positions and seeing the determination and aplomb on their faces. Listening to the crowd ROAR everytime someone gets a hit or scraps up an out. Watching the pitcher take the mound and grip the Cardinal-red seams on the ball as he fires a strike in towards the plate. That song during the 7th inning stretch that everyone knows, fan or not.  Seeing the ball bounce off the bat and the fans jump to their feet. Going. Going. Gone! Over the fence as Pujols hits another home run, trots around the bases and gives thanks to God by pointing up to Him as he steps on home plate. Watching the fireworks explode in the blue sky over the stadium after a Cards win. The site and quiet sound of an empty stadium after a game in anticipation of the next 50,000 fans to arrive. This may sound strange, but it's what I love! Baseball is my life.

HEROES

               The hero that made the best impact on my life is GOD. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him so I give him my total attention. He's taught me so much in my life and I'm hoping there's a lot more. Also he has blessed me so many ways with everything that I have. 
               Other mentor heroes that I have are Stan Musial, Albert Pujols and many other players. These people are my heroes because I love baseball and even from just watching them, I've learned so much. I've learned so much about Albert and it seems that he has such and interesting story.
               These are the reasons why all of these people are my heroes.
